Is Combolands on Mobile, Xbox or Mac?
Platform by platform
| Platform | Status | What is actually known |
|---|---|---|
| Windows (Steam) | Yes | The only place Combolands exists. Steam app 4075620, $9.99, released 2026-08-24. |
| Android | No | No build, no listing, nothing announced. This is the most-searched Combolands platform question and the answer is simply no — anything offering a Combolands APK is not this game. |
| iOS / App Store | No | Same: no build and no announcement. |
| macOS | No | The Steam page lists Windows only. A player asked about a macOS release in the discussions on 2026-08-29; no developer reply as of 2026-08-30. |
| Linux | No | No native build. Not listed on the store page. |
| Steam Deck | Runs, not Verified | Playable according to players who own one, but text legibility is a real problem. Verification is the developers’ stated second priority — see the Steam Deck page. |
| Xbox / Game Pass | No | No console version announced. |
| PlayStation | No | No console version announced. |
| Nintendo Switch | No | No console version announced. |
| GeForce Now | Unknown | Asked in the same discussion thread as macOS. No developer answer as of 2026-08-30. |
What the Steam listing supports
| Feature | Supported | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Single-player | Yes | There is no multiplayer or co-op mode. |
| Steam Achievements | Yes | 21 of them. |
| Steam Cloud | Yes | Saves sync between machines. |
| Family Sharing | Yes | Listed on the store page. |
| Mouse Only Option | Yes | Listed on the store page — relevant to the Deck question, since it implies the interface is not built around a controller. |
| Playable without Timed Input | Yes | An accessibility tag: nothing in the game requires reaction speed. |
| Custom Volume Controls | Yes | Listed on the store page. |
Why a mobile version is unlikely soon
Crux Games is two people — Sam Alfred and Skye Scott — and their roadmap post says they returned to part-time work the week after launch, having gone full-time only for the release itself. The same post says they cannot give timelines even for the two things they have committed to. A port to a new platform is not on that list.
Languages
The store page lists English only, for interface, audio and subtitles. Localisation is priority one on the roadmap, held up by the fact that the game constructs its text procedurally — the developers call that "great for helping the game's UX but a nightmare for preserving grammar and things making sense with translation". Unofficial Simplified Chinese and Russian translation patches exist on the game's Steam Community guides hub; both are community projects, neither is endorsed, and both can break when the game updates.
